Sumner Billingsley is a Partner at Billingsley Company in Dallas, Texas. Sumner oversees the company’s 8,657 units in the Multifamily portfolio, building 1,500 additional units per year, with in place zoning for 25,000 more units. Her responsibilities include portfolio strategy, construction, design, management and marketing. Sumner began her real estate career working in development and acquisitions at Trammel Crow Company in Los Angeles, where she worked, she was active in the entitlement, design, and development of high-profile class A assets throughout Greater Los Angeles. Following her time at Trammell Crow Company in Los Angeles, she went on to work with CBRE in New York, before finally joining Billingsley Company in 2014.
Sumner earned her undergraduate degree from University of Southern California and her Masters in Real Estate Development from Columbia University. Sumner is a Term Member of the Council on Foreign Relations. She also serves on The National Geographic Hubbard Council, the Southern Methodist University Tate Lecture Series Board of Directors, the Folsom Institute for Real Estate, The Urban Land Institute’s Mixed-Use Council, The North Texas Food Bank’s Young Professionals Board, and The Real Estate Council (TREC) Associate Leadership Council, and is a National Member of Business Executives for National Security (BENS). Sumner is also deeply engaged in the North Texas Food Bank, Planned Parenthood, and Center for Brain Health. Sumner has traveled extensively through Asia, Middle East, Europe, South America, Africa, Australia and Papua New Guinea.
