Sumner Billingsley is a Partner at Billingsley Company in Dallas, Texas, where she specializes in master-planned communities and serves as President of the company’s multifamily portfolio consisting of more than 9,000 units with zoning in place for an additional 27,000. She is responsible for the portfolio strategy, design, construction, management, marketing, and financing. Sumner began her real estate career at Trammell Crow Company in Los Angeles, later joining CBRE in New York before returning to Dallas in 2014. Sumner received bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern California and her master’s degree in real estate development from Columbia University. She serves on the Boards of Southern Methodist University’s Tate Lecture Series, The Tower Center for Public Policy and International Affairs, Folsom Institute for Real Estate, and UT Dallas’s Center for BrainHealth. Sumner is also an active member of Urban Land Institute’s Mixed-Use Council, the National Geographic Hubbard Council, a Council on Foreign Relations Term Member, and a national member of Business Executives for National Security (BENS). Sumner has traveled extensively across Asia, the Middle East, Europe, South America, Africa, Australia, and Papua New Guinea.
