Bio
Terry Syler is a Partner and Executive Vice President with The Retail Connection, dedicating his business activities to all aspects of the retail real estate business including investment properties, owner representation and tenant representation. Syler is currently leading the expansion efforts in DFW for both restaurant and retail clients including Top Golf, Jo-Ann Fabric and Crafts, The Men’s Wearhouse, and Sherwin Williams.
He has been involved in multiple high-profile transactions through his career including the sale of Best Buy Plaza Shopping Center across from NorthPark Mall, the sale of 88 acres at the hard corner of Preston Road and Highway 121, and most recently, a sale to Top Golf USA at The Colony.
Syler has served in leadership roles for many years in the real estate business and has received numerous awards and recognitions. He was named a Top Ten Producer in the DFW Metroplex for the past 18 years and was recognized as a 40 Under 40 by the Dallas Business Journal in 2006. He was also named to the President’s Circle that same year and in 2009, was added to the Chairman’s Circle.
Since the inception of The Retail Connection, Syler has been active in the retail real estate industry. He is a current 2021 Board Member of The Real Estate Council [TREC], was elected to the North Texas Commercial Association of Realtors [NTCAR] as a Board Member in 2013 and 2014, and is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers [ICSC].
He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing/Entrepreneurship at Baylor University. Syler resides in Dallas with his wife Cindy and their two daughters Angelina and Caroline.
