Tom Leonhard has led HRI Properties since 2001, driving its evolution into a premier national real estate company. A native of New Orleans, Tom joined HRI in 1988 and has been instrumental in expanding the firm beyond its home market through large-scale urban developments and adaptive reuse of historic properties. Under his leadership, HRI now operates 50+ properties in 16 states with 1,900+ employees, earning recognition as a “Best Place to Work” by New Orleans CityBusiness in 2014.
Tom is active in civic and business leadership, serving on the Executive Committee of the Business Council of New Orleans, and previously taught economics and finance at UNO. His career reflects a commitment to urban revitalization, community engagement, and leadership development.
