TJ O’Brien serves as Vice President of Development for Hillwood in the Midwest Region. In this role, he supports new and existing tenants with their development needs and assists the acquisitions team with due diligence, leasing, and sales for the region.
TJ has over 20 years of experience in the planning and execution of commercial development and construction projects. He has developed and supported acquisitions totaling over 5M SF of warehouse / distribution space since joining Hillwood in 2016.
Before joining Hillwood, TJ held a similar role JLL, responsible for managing build-to-suit projects, including developing a new urban office campus for Whirlpool Corporation and an advanced materials production facility for Rubicon Technology. He also served as program manager for United Airlines’ corporate real estate group at O’Hare International Airport.
TJ graduated from The University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and obtained his Master of Business Administration from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
