Bio
Tom Salanty is the President of Capital Markets for the Falcon Companies. Focusing on investment sales transactions, primarily retail properties, Mr. Salanty is one of the top retail investment sales brokers in the United States.
Since 1982, Mr. Salanty’s completed transactions include $4 billion, primarily shopping centers, regional malls, outlet centers, and office buildings. Additionally, Mr. Salanty was a member of the Saks Fifth Avenue (SFA) transaction team which served as SFA’s real estate department in 1996 and 1997.
Prior to joining the Falcon Companies, NAI, JLL, Cushman and Wakefield, Intershop - a $1 billion Swiss real estate investment company, and the lead disposition officer at Bright Realty Company, responsible for the disposition of a $1-billion portfolio of foreclosure properties. Previous experience includes retail leasing and general brokerage of investment properties and land at Dunhill Partners and Don Kinney and Associates.
Mr. Salanty graduated from Indiana University in 1980. He is or has been a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts (NAREIT), the North Texas Commercial Association of Realtors (NTCAR), and served as the past President of the New Horizons Foundation Board, a residential treatment center for abused children. Mr. Salanty is also active in other professional, civic, and charitable organizations.
