Tracy received his Bachelor of Business Administration from Southern Methodist University in 1989 with a double major in Finance and Real Estate.
After returning to Memphis, he then started his commercial real estate career while going to school at night to receive his Masters in Business Administration from Memphis State University (now the University of Memphis) in 1991 with a Real Estate specialization. Tracy serves on the board of Hope House Memphis, having served as President in 2015-2016 and 2009-2010, President Elect 2013-2014 and 2008-2009, Treasurer 2022-2023 and 2007-2008 and Advisory Board 2011-2012. He also serves on the Buckman board of The Boys & Girls Clubs of Memphis, having served as Chairman in 2009 and 2019 and Chairman Elect in 2008 and 2018. He is a graduate of Leadership Germantown 2000 and served on their Board of Directors 2005-2007 and 2002-2003. Tracy is a devoted father of his two children, Lawrence and Dudley. The family fosters dogs for various rescues and has 2 dogs of their own: Daisy & Millie.
