Troy Bates is a seasoned commercial broker, developer, and general contractor with a wealth of experience brokering deals and managing significant development projects across Illinois. Currently, Troy is spearheading deals in Mattoon, Champaign, Calumet Park, Jerseyville, and Peru, IL. He is also working on a notable 32-acre development in Champaign and the redevelopment of an 86,000-square-foot commercial building in Calumet Park.
With a robust background in engineering and construction, Troy has held pivotal roles, including working for the City of Akron Bureau of Engineering and Cavanaugh Building Corporation. His projects have ranged from contracts with Kent State University and Goodyear Corporate to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources. Troy’s extensive experience also includes developing multifamily residential properties, owning and operating residential and commercial properties, and brokering commercial real estate at Matanky Real Estate.
Troy is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and has served as past president of the Ogden Lions Club and the Association of Builders and Contractors. His commitment to professional development and community involvement is evident in his affiliations and leadership roles.
