Mr. Bill Bymel is Founder and Chief Executive Officer of First Lien Capital, a distressed mortgage investment platform founded in 2021 that targets sub-performing and non-performing residential and commercial loans and has been described as owning 700+ residential mortgages and REO across 30+ states valued at more than $100 million.
Mr. Bymel brings more than two decades of experience as a real estate investor and broker, including mortgage servicing consultation for major financial institutions and private equity partners. Mr. Bymel founded First Lien Resolutions in 2024 to deliver special-situations advisory and “Special Assets” support on portfolio risk, recovery strategies, and workout execution.
Key achievements include authorship of Win-Win Revolution: An Insider’s Guide to Investing in the Secondary Mortgage Market (loss mitigation for NPLs) and frequent conference speaking on distressed debt and secondary mortgage markets. Educational background includes attendance at New York University Film School, with subsequent production of award-winning films prior to a full-time real estate focus.
