Bio
After practicing law for 3 years in Norfolk, Billy joined Harvey Lindsay Commercial Real Estate in 1983 and served for 36 years in Office & Industrial Brokerage and later as the company's President & CEO. He was Hampton Roads' first SIOR "Active Office" Designee. After moving to the company's Industrial Division, he sold over 1,000,000 sf of Industrial properties in his first 10 years in that specialty. He became an equity partner with the firm in 2001. In his 5 years as President, Billy led the company to unprecedented revenue and professional growth. He formed his own company in December 2019 focusing on sales, leasing and investing throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Billy is a graduate of the University of Virginia and the Marshall-Wythe School of Law at the College of William and Mary. He is a native of Hampton Roads and is married to Nell White King, with whom he has 4 children and 4 grandchildren. He is past president of the Virginia Chapter of SIOR, past chairman of the ODU Center for Real Estate & Economic Development and past vice president of the Hampton Roads Economic Development Alliance and Chamber of Commerce. He currently serves as Chairman of The Board of The Eggleston Services Foundation.
