Bio
Yara is a native New Yorker. She has sold properties from Washington Heights to Bushwick. Yara uses her block-by-block knowledge of the city and its house market to seamlessly shepherd her clients through the real estate process. Whether in real estate, or in her prior career in international public health, Yara’s work has always been about service and relationship-building. The goal of making a client’s real estate experience rewarding is what inspires her everyday. Inquisitive by nature, Yara asks the right questions and truly listens to her clients to understand their real estate needs and wishes. Clients love her client-centered approach, her down-to-earth nature, integrity, and resourcefulness.
Before real estate, Yara had a successful career in public health, working at the United Nations, non-profits, and international relief organizations. Her background in public service, advocating for policy changes sharpened Yara’s negotiation, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Yara has a worldly perspective that enables her to easily embrace the diverse situations and clients she encounters daily in her work. She has traveled extensively for work and leisure. A Park Slope residence since 2005, you can often find her in Prospect Park with her dog and daughter. In her free time, she coaches her daughter’s swim team and is actively involved in the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health’s alumni network.
