With the Alpaca Real Estate offshoot launched fall 2023, Alpaca utilizes a thematic investment approach to source, acquire and manage investments, with an emphasis on properties that require recapitalization, repositioning, strategic capital, and/or physical transformation. Alpaca utilizes a disciplined investment process to execute its comprehensive strategic business plans through hands-on asset and portfolio management, and by integrating accretive overlays that are expected to drive returns. The firm is co-founded by Daniel Carr and Peter Weiss, who spent the past 10 years with notable alternative investment management firms. Each have over a dozen years of experience investing across real estate sectors, throughout the U.S., across the capital stack, and through various transaction structures.
