After years of working in and with general commercial real estate brokerages throughout the Pacific Northwest, in 2004, Joseph & Michelle Kennedy, in conjunction with veteran hotel broker Robert Burkette, decided to branch out on their own. The founders positioned Crystal Investment Property as a specialty brokerage solely focused on serving the needs of hotel owners and hospitality investors in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and Montana. While in the years following the birth of CIP, Bob moved into a consultant role, retired in 2005, and then passed away in 2010, the founders’ shared commitment and vision have persisted under Kennedy’s stewardship.
