Madrid Transport Center (CTM), is one of the main logistics centers in Madrid, located in the first crown, just 10 minutes from the city center.
It has an area of 338,000 m2, distributed between the Logistics Center, the Vehicle Service Center, the Administrative and Commercial Center and large green areas.
As for its origins, the idea of a Freight Transport Center emerged during 1979, when the Ministry of Public Works and the Madrid City Council considered it appropriate to lighten heavy traffic within the city and, at the same time, make it easier for logistics operators to carry out their activities, due to the increasing needs of the sector
To carry out this project, a public tender was launched and awarded to the company Centro de Transportes de Madrid, S.A., a concession company responsible for carrying out the feasibility, construction, promotion and management of the Transport Center.
