Dream Unlimited Corp. (TSX: DRM), founded in 1996 by Michael Cooper, is a Toronto-based real estate developer and asset manager with $28 billion of assets under management as of March 31, 2026. The firm operates through two core divisions: land and housing development in master-planned communities across Western Canada, and income-generating property development and ownership. Dream provides asset management services to three Toronto Stock Exchange-listed trusts—Dream Office REIT, Dream Industrial REIT, and Dream Impact Trust—alongside private institutional mandates and partnerships. Since launching its private asset management platform in 2021, fee-earning assets on private mandates have grown to over $14 billion as of December 31, 2025, representing more than double its public fee-earning assets. The firm focuses on multifamily rental properties, office, retail, industrial, and land development, with geographic concentration in Alberta, Saskatchewan, Ontario, and the National Capital Region. Dream's master-planned communities include Alpine Park in Calgary, Brighton and Holmwood in Saskatoon, Coopertown in Regina, and Zibi in Ottawa-Gatineau. In December 2025, Dream formed a $3 billion joint venture with CPP Investments to acquire Canadian industrial assets, and in February 2026 restructured the Quayside waterfront development in Toronto to fully own the Phase 1 multifamily rental component. As of year-end 2025, Dream had approximately 1,100 multifamily units stabilized or under lease-up and 1,950 units under construction across Canada.
