Empire Holdings is a Fort Worth-based commercial real estate developer focused on single-tenant, build-to-suit industrial properties in the Dallas-Fort Worth market. Founded by Sandra McGlothlin in 2021, the company emerged from Empire Texas Equities Ltd., which McGlothlin established in 1991 as a commercial real estate investment, management and development firm. By 2020, Empire Texas Equities had assembled a portfolio of more than 80 properties across Texas, Florida, Oklahoma and Georgia spanning industrial, office and retail assets.
McGlothlin, a 40-year commercial real estate veteran, launched Empire Holdings after identifying a market gap for custom industrial facilities tailored to specific operational requirements. The company specializes in properties featuring outdoor storage, extra dock space, oversized doors and modern infrastructure that standard industrial buildings typically lack. Empire Holdings' flagship development is Sun Valley Industrial Park, a 24.2-acre industrial park in southeast Fort Worth designated as an Industrial Growth Center by the city due to high job growth. The park houses major tenants including the Texas Department of Transportation, UPS, Sunbelt Rentals, O'Neal Industries, Stanley Steamer and Dish Network. The company also operates Campus Industrial Park, currently under construction. Empire Holdings has developed over 85 properties totaling more than 1,100,000 square feet across more than 230 acres in Dallas-Fort Worth and major markets in the Southern United States. The company currently has 200,000 square feet of industrial space in the planning process focused on the Dallas-Fort Worth market.
