Ivy K Realty started off as Kumai Realty which opened up in 1989 by Ivy Kumai. Kumai Realty became a household name for real estate in the 90’s and early 2000’s. When Marc Kumai entered the business in 2000 it was decided that the company change to Ivy K Realty in honor of Ivy Kumai who is the founder of the company. Ivy Kumai was an educator before she started her real estate career and her mission was to teach her clients how to “build wealth through real estate”. Today Ivy Kumai is still active in the real estate industry and forms HUIs (local investor groups) to fund small development projects and “fixer upper” flips.
