LCB Associates commenced business in September 1979. The principal, Steven H. Banker, had previously worked for a small commercial real estate firm in Oakland. LCB stands for the initials of Steve’s grandfather (Leon Chester Banker). Leon’s brother, Benjamin Arthur Banker, was one of the founders of Coldwell Banker. LCB Associates has been a sole proprietorship of Steve Banker, and in June 2002, incorporated under the name of LCB Commercial Real Estate, a California corporation, dba LCB Associates. In 2015 Brad Banker, Steve’s son, began working at LCB Associates, becoming the 4th generation Banker in the East Bay market. In addition to Steve Banker, there are four broker associates and four employees. Our philosophy is to keep the company small and work in a limited geographic area. This ensures quality control, superior market knowledge, and also allows us to provide the best service to our clients.
