The Maple City Ice Company is a family-owned and operated wholesaler of Anheuser-Busch and InBev beers headquartered in Norwalk, Ohio. The Company was founded in 1917 by the Hipp Family as an ice manufacturer and distributor. In 1933, after the repeal of prohibition, the Company entered into the beverage distribution business and since then has remained the exclusive Anheuser-Busch distributor in North Central Ohio.
The main office in Norwalk is located at 371 Cleveland Road, with branch operations in Mansfield, Ohio and Elyria, Ohio. These three locations service all of Erie, Huron, Lorain, Crawford, Richland, Ashland and Holmes counties; and parts of Ottawa, Sandusky and Wayne counties. They are the major beer supplier to Cedar Point Amusement Park in Sandusky and the Lake Erie Islands (Put-in-Bay and Kelley’s Island).
