CTL Engineering is a full service consulting engineering, testing, inspection, and analytical services company. Formerly known as Columbus Testing Laboratory, the company was established in 1927 as a privately held independent engineering and testing laboratory serving the local community. During its early years, the company focused mainly on soils, foundation engineering, and construction testing and inspection services. The successes, experience, equipment, and expertise gained in these areas led to a natural expansion into the metallurgical, non-destructive testing, mechanical, mining, roofing, and environmental service industries.

Since 1984, they have been making a lasting community impact that markedly improves the well-being of people and communities. They stand as a positive force, providing professional planning, environmental design and engineering services to shape, define, utilize, conserve and restore land and water resources. TTR Engineers beginnings start with Ernie Troike. He began his practice in 1963 working as a private consultant in civil and structural engineering, and building design. He brought a wide range of experience brought expertise in everything from multi-stored hotels and offices to water treatment facilities and towers. In 1996 Ernie sold his business to Brian Rostedt forming Troike-Rostedt Engineering, Inc. The newly-formed partnership continued providing structural engineering consulting services to architects, builders and residential owners. Following six successful years of service and a growing client base, the company opened another chapter when Larry Teeling agreed to join Ernie and Brian, and formed Troike-Teeling-Rostedt Engineers in 2004. Having already spent forty-three years in the field (27 as an entrepreneur), Larry had established himself as a skilled and respected consultant for a variety of projects.
