Leeming Bar Food Units & Ancillary Land with Income Producing Car Park The subject property comprises two detached single storey industrial terraces that together provide 12 light industrial units with purpose-built food grade interiors constructed in 2009. Masons of Yorkshire is a privately held spirits producer focused on the distillation of gin and vodka. The business was founded in 2012 by Karl and Cathy Mason and launched its first gin commercially in 2013. The company produces a range of gins and vodkas using a traditional distillation process and botanical ingredients, with production based in North Yorkshire. The business initially operated from smaller facilities before consolidating operations at its distillery in Leeming Bar. In 2019, a fire significantly damaged its former distillery site, after which production was relocated and a new distillery facility was commissioned and opened in 2020. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the company temporarily adapted its operations to produce hand sanitiser for local organisations. Masons of Yorkshire distributes its products through direct-to-consumer online sales, retail channels, and trade partners in the UK and international markets. The company has received industry recognition through multiple spirits competitions and continues to expand its core product ranges of gin and vodka.
