Inchgreen is a first class multi-modal port located on the firth of Clyde with road and sea access. It offers a wide-range of development opportunities and has been identified in the National Renewables Infrastructure Plan (NRIP) as a potential offshore renewables site. The site comprises of one of Europe's largest dry dock facilities, a repair quay and extensive land suitable for development. It offers infrastructure that enables efficient logistics and is ideally suited to: The site also boasts immediate links to Peel Ports purpose built container facilities at Greenock Ocean Terminal, two miles West. Inchgreen can also act as a marine support hub to provide support services for the marine industry, with ships and barges able to use the 300m repair quayside and large area adjacent to the quayside. Inchgreen enables commercial-scale build of assets for floating wind farms. It offers great potential for the port to be adopted for fabrication and/or assembly of floating substructures, as well as wind turbine component staging and the wet storage of assembled units. Peel Ports has been working with key companies involved in the decommissioning sector to devise a New Deal for Decom. Securing the economics of dry dock working The dry dock enables safe and easy year-round working for projects to recycle floating assets. At 305m long by 45m wide with a water depth of 13.7m over keel blocks, Inchgreen is one of Scotland's largest dry dock facilities and ideally suited to decommissioning. Securing the economics of space Inchgreen has up to 28 acres of development land available and extensive wet stack areas. Securing the economics of recycling With extensive space available for set down and links to other scrap operations via Peel Ports Clydeport which currently handles 70% of Scotland's scrap steel, Inchgreen can deliver significant improvements in scrap yield. Operational dry dock, berthing quay and adjoining land with road and sea access Berthage and direct access to the deep water channel in the Firth of Clyde Facilities suitable for a variety of uses in addition to established uses of ship repairing marine construction Inchgreen is located on the south bank of the River Clyde about 1.8 miles upstream of Greenock Ocean Terminal.
