Crow Holdings is a privately held real estate investment and development firm founded in 1948 by Trammell Crow, when he built his first warehouse in Dallas. The company operates through two primary divisions: Crow Holdings Capital, its investment management arm, and Crow Holdings Development, which encompasses Trammell Crow Residential, Crow Holdings Industrial, and Crow Holdings Office. As of June 2025, the firm manages more than $33 billion in assets under management across investment strategies, development, and alternative investments including solar and battery storage. Crow Holdings Capital invests in multifamily, industrial, and specialty property types through core, value-add, and opportunistic vehicles, with regulatory assets under management of $14.7 billion as of mid-2025. The development platform has established more than 285,000 multifamily units since 1977 and over 68 million square feet of industrial space since 2013, ranking third nationally among multifamily developers in 2024.
In October 2025, the firm recapitalized a 194-property retail portfolio totaling 4.5 million square feet across 30 states, valued at over $1.8 billion when the platform was established in 2023. The portfolio focuses on small-format, convenience-oriented retail centers and is 93% leased with approximately 2,000 tenant suites. In April 2025, Blackstone acquired a 95% stake in a 25-property industrial portfolio developed by Crow Holdings for $718 million, comprising 6 million square feet predominantly in Dallas and Houston. In February 2024, Crow Holdings Capital closed its tenth value-add fund at $3.1 billion with nearly $600 million in additional co-invest agreements. The firm operates from 18 offices across the United States with Michael Levy serving as CEO since November 2017, and Harlan Crow serving as chairman.
