Millison Management was founded in the mid-1940s, prior to the establishment of the Naval Air Warfare Center (NAWC). The company’s origins trace back to the operation of a country store on Cedar Point, which is now the site of NAWC. When the U.S. Navy arrived in St. Mary’s County and purchased land for the future Naval Air Station, Hiram Millison acquired property across the street from the station. He relocated his country store there, planting the seed for what would become downtown Lexington Park. Hiram’s son, Larry Millison, later expanded the business into a successful real estate holding and development company. Today, the company is led by Rachelle Millison, Larry’s daughter, who serves as President and owner.
