TDI is a privately held multifamily investment and operating company owned by Bobby Page, Ron Ingram, and Brad Taylor, the former owners of JPI. The founders led JPI to develop more than 120,000 apartment homes across 380 communities, representing $18 billion of value, before Sumitomo Forestry America acquired JPI's multifamily housing business on November 30, 2023. In the transaction, TDI retained 31 real estate projects with a total valuation of $3.7 billion. The company specializes in Class A and workforce multifamily housing, focusing on providing housing for educators, first responders, and other essential workers. TDI operates primarily in Texas and California, with 26 properties in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and five in Southern California. In 2025, the company announced an expanded focus on workforce housing, with nearly half of its portfolio—4,340 homes—currently providing workforce housing solutions. The firm continues to receive development, construction, and asset management support from JPI for its owned assets. TDI's leadership team was recently expanded with the addition of Brent Ball as President and Partner in April 2024, followed by Graham Johnston and Patrick Crawford as Senior Vice Presidents and Partners in June 2024, both former co-founders of Riata Development.
