Richmond’s suburban industrial landscape, spanning from Colonial Heights in the south to Chester’s James River northern boundary, offers connectivity at an outstanding value. The area, bisected by Interstates 95 and 295, provides industrial and flex space users easy access to larger population centers in the state capital’s urban core, Hampton Roads, and the southernmost reaches of Washington, D.C.’s metropolitan area. The Richmond Marine Terminal, the gateway into the mid-Atlantic markets, is one of several ports within a three-hour drive.
This accessibility is what attracted tenants like Amazon, FedEx, DSC Logistics, and Bimbo Bakeries manufacturing to this corridor. Although name-brand firms have made their way to the area in recent years, smaller manufacturing and personal services firms also have a presence here.
