John Bar began his career in commercial real estate in July 2003, starting as a business broker before quickly transitioning into commercial brokerage. With over 20 years of experience, John has earned a strong reputation for delivering strategic, results-driven solutions across a broad spectrum of asset classes.
He joined Avison Young in 2011 as part of the firm’s Southwestern Ontario office, where he serves key markets including Brantford, Hamilton, Niagara, and the Halton Region. Prior to that, he spent eight years with Cushman & Wakefield, working in both Calgary and Mississauga, where he specialized in the same core asset types.
John has successfully completed numerous transactions involving industrial building sales and leasing, investment properties, development land sales, land assemblies, and the marketing of industrial parks. His geographic expertise covers the western Greater Golden Horseshoe, with earlier market experience in Calgary.
