Founded in 1997 by Charles Shears and Ken Delery, SDI Realty Advisors began developing “shadow anchored” retail centers positioned in front of Walmart Supercenters and Lowe's Home Improvement stores. SDI's growth began in the Houston metro area, but quickly expanded into neighboring communities and states to meet tenant demand. SDI realized that developing in secondary markets outside its Houston base allowed SDI to service the growth needs of numerous national retailers in underserved markets. SDI became proficient at navigating the various political climates and socioeconomic cultures that posed challenges to its retail clients. Today, SDI continues to seek unique opportunities located in conjunction with successful anchors or strategic intersections that will continue to serve investors well for years.
